Bridal Hair Trial Prep

1

Clean Hair Always!

Wash your hair the day before. Dirty hair does not style well.
2x shampoo's (first one lifts dirt & oils, second one cleanses)
Using salon quality products will give a better result & feel with your hair.

Conditioner/treatment on the mids/ends ONLY & rinse thoroughly. Residue will affect styling. Blow dry your hair smooth instead of letting hair naturally dry as this will prepare it in the best way for styling.
Avoid any heavy products, use only light weight heat protectant or a light serum. Leave the products to your stylist. If your hair is fluffy or very soft, there are products to help with that.

2

Wear white

Wear a white top or dress that has a similar neck line to what you are thinking or have chosen for your dress. This will help you to envision the final look and see how the hair placement works.

3

Accessories

Bring any hair accessories, veil & hair extensions (if needed) to your trial appointment. Even if you aren't sure on them, this can help narrow down your choices. We can work on veil placement, see how your extensions will work with the style or if you will be needing them.

4

Inspo pics

Bring a collection of inspo pics that you have saved for your hair. Pics that give front, back & side views if possible. They don't have to all be in the same photo but collecting inspo of how you want the front & how you want the back can really help with the creation of your dream hair.
PICK INSPO PICS WITH A SIMILAR HAIR COLOUR TO YOU.

5

Have an open mind

Generally speaking, this will most likely be your first wedding. Weddings are not the usual day to day look so it's important keep an open mind as all of your vendors work to create your vision. Sometimes it's a work in progress as we get closer to the look you are after, especially if you are not entirely sure to begin with. It is important to maintain realistic expectations about what your hair can and cant do. (eg, if you have short fine hair and want long vollumous glam waves)
Bridal Hair without makeup can feel extra weird so keeping that in mind too or coming to your trial with your makeup done can help imagine the overall look too.

Your trial is a great opportunity to narrow down your options or solidify your choice. After your trial it is important to observe the hold factor, comfotability & how you feel throughout the day. These will be things we talk about before your wedding to work out areas we could improve/adjust.
