2x shampoo's (first one lifts dirt & oils, second one cleanses)
Using salon quality products will give a better result & feel with your hair.
Conditioner/treatment on the mids/ends ONLY & rinse thoroughly. Residue will affect styling. Blow dry your hair smooth instead of letting hair naturally dry as this will prepare it in the best way for styling.
Avoid any heavy products, use only light weight heat protectant or a light serum. Leave the products to your stylist. If your hair is fluffy or very soft, there are products to help with that.
Make sure to avoid face masks, especially sheet masks going in the hair around the face/hair line. It can leave an oil residue, especially for fine hair.
Choose clothing or Pj's/robes that either button down or do NOT need to be pulled over the head. This can impacted hair and makeup greatly & will make things a lot easier when it comes time to change into your dresses. If you dress needs to go over your head, advise your MUA & Hair stylist in the beginning so that can make sure they factor that into the style/stay back incase there's issues.
Have bridesmaids/people in your group choose their inspo pics prior to the artists arrival so when it's their turn in the chair, there is no time delay. If the bridesmaids are all having the same style, make sure each of them have access to that photo so they don't need to find you for it.
PICK INSPO PICS WITH A SIMILAR HAIR COLOUR TO YOU.
The steam from steaming dresses will majorly effect your hair and makeup once it's done, reducing longevity & causing frizz, dropping & makeup separation.
Have the dresses steamed before hair and makeup begins or assign the people to do it that haven't had their hair & make up done yet.
Have food for your morning, whether a big breakfast, and or lunch, something that will fill you up & have substance on your stomach for the drinks. It's a big day and it can be a while until you have the chance to eat again.
The photographers will direct you once the arrive but will usually take the detailed shots first so to make this flow smoothly, have your dress & veil out of the bag, shoes, jewlery, perfume, flowers & any other details you would like captured, all together so the photographers can easily do their thing without you being interrupted and having to find it all when they arrive. They will love you for this!
PRO TIP: Have a nice coat hanger for your dress if it doesn't already, something with the hook that rotates so they can easily hang it on edges, ect. It will look alot nicer in the photos too rather that the ones the dresses usually come with.
